In 1995, John Magowan purchased a small body shop in rural Hayward, Wisconsin and transformed his company in to one of the highest volume collision repair facilities per capita in the country. Magowan anticipates sales over $4.0M in 2022 within a city of a population over just over 2000. Magowan’s shop has been successful in obtaining I-Car Gold status and multiple OEM certifications. Currently Magowan serves on the GM Collision Repair Network advisory board and his shop generously supports its community in several ways. In October of 2020 Magowan’s shop donated a recycled ride to a Navy Veteran, sponsors annual ALS walks, supports youth programs, and proudly sponsors many community events. In 2005, Magowan co-founded Key Choice Collision Centers, LLC. With 23 locations in the Upper Midwest, Key Choice Collision Centers is a group of progressive body shop owners and managers supporting each other through training, education, purchasing, growth, and management practices. Magowan has had a lifelong passion for the collision repair industry and believes every day is a learning adventure while striving for constant improvement. Magowan is married to his wife Debra, has 1 daughter, 1 stepson, and 1 stepdaughter. In his free time, he enjoys time with his family, travel, golf, and watching football.
